BaNAuset KaNSekhmet is the founder of Kemetic Wellness Sacred Healing Center.  As a Registered Nurse with over a decade of clinical experience, she has provided family-centered care to hundreds of families throughout the Greater New York area.  She is a Holistic Healing Consultant, RaSekhi Kemetic Reiki Practitioner, Global Sacred Woman Village Family Ambassador of Wellness, Womb Yoga Dance Instructor and Kemetic Priestess. 

 

BaNAuset has been widely recognized and awarded for service excellence in the care of children and their families.  Her passion for providing families with a nurturing experience led BaNAuset to merge over a decade of clinical expertise with ancient Afrakan healing techniques.

Her commitment to uplifting others began as a teenager in DeWitt Clinton High School's Medical Science Honors Program.  There she began organizing volunteer efforts for soup kitchens, school beautification projects, and nursing homes in her Bronx hometown.  She further continued community building during her college career, organizing and participating in numerous causes for Circle K International- the largest collegiate service organization worldwide.

BaNAuset earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Adelphi University, and New York State licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse. She cultivated her nursing skills at Harlem Hospital Center, becoming the first on their Inpatient Pediatric Unit to earn Certification as a Pediatric Nurse.  As charge nurse, she quickly gained a reputation for running a smooth unit and handling patients with kindness and ease.  
 

Through her work as a Nurse she became more passionate about natural living as she began to see the need for natural, cultural care for the spiritual healing of Black families.  This passion was further fueled by her personal health challenges.  Her personal experience with chronic medical conditions inspired her to heal herself through the natural remedies she learned from her Jamaican parents. 

 

After a car accident injury, she suffered muscle spasms and loss of lower motor function.  BaNAuset was adamant about healing herself through natural methods.   Through consistent physical therapy, massage and dedicated mobility and yoga practice she was ambulating unassisted within months of the accident, and regained full motor function over a period of 2 years. 

 

During this time she discovered that reconnecting to ancient Afrakan spiritual teachings was key in her healing process.  Under the guidance of Master and High Priest Mfundishi Jhutyms, BaNAuset was initiated into the Kemetic tradition.  This lead to the birth of Kemetic Wellness Sacred Healing Center.  Furthering her study of spiritual healing, she was attuned to Kemetic Reiki healing as a Level II Practitioner by Master Teacher MutShat Shemsut-Gianprem Kaur of In Light Yoga and Health in the Bronx, NY.  

 

On her wellness journey BaNAuset then sought out the guidance of Supreme Afrakan Medicine Woman, Queen Afua, to overcome her longstanding struggle with severe dysmenorrhea.  Within months of detoxing her diet and relationships, BaNAuset was able to finally end her battle with womb pain.  She was among the first graduating class of Womb Yoga Dance Practitioners at the Queen Afua Wellness University.  

 

The Afrakan Holistic Health wisdom that transformed her health and her life are infused into the foundation of Kemetic Wellness Sacred Healing Center.  It is her mission to use  ancient healing tools and techniques to help create a healthy, prosperous community.
